Platform Role

GhanaRoots, owned and operated by Nzama Limited, is a managed marketplace that connects travelers with vetted tour operators, accommodation providers, and experience hosts in Ghana.

GhanaRoots acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers. While we vet and quality-control all partners on our platform, the tours, accommodations, and experiences are ultimately delivered by independent third-party partners.

By using GhanaRoots, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

Bookings

When you book a tour, experience, or accommodation through GhanaRoots, you enter into a contract with both GhanaRoots (as the booking facilitator) and the partner providing the service.

• All prices displayed on GhanaRoots are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
• A booking is confirmed only after payment is processed and you receive a written confirmation from GhanaRoots.
• Cancellation and refund policies vary by tour and partner. Specific terms will be provided at the time of booking.
• GhanaRoots reserves the right to cancel or modify bookings due to safety concerns, force majeure, or partner unavailability. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or alternative arrangements.
• Travelers are responsible for obtaining valid travel documents, visas, and travel insurance.

Partner Services

GhanaRoots partners are independent businesses that have been reviewed and approved by our team. However:

• GhanaRoots does not own, operate, or directly control partner services.
• Partners are responsible for the quality and safety of their services, in accordance with the standards agreed upon with GhanaRoots.
• GhanaRoots continuously monitors partner performance and reserves the right to remove partners who fail to meet our quality standards.
• Any disputes between travelers and partners should first be raised with GhanaRoots, and we will work to mediate and resolve them.

Content

All content on GhanaRoots — including text, images, logos, graphics, and software — is the property of Nzama Limited or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
• User-submitted content (reviews, photos, messages) grants GhanaRoots a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on our platform and marketing channels.
• GhanaRoots reserves the right to remove any user content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• GhanaRoots and Nzama Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of our platform or services.
• Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to GhanaRoots for the specific booking in question.
• GhanaRoots is not liable for acts of God, natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, airline cancellations, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
• We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance before their trip.
